Laura J.W. Keppley is a Masters of Public Policy (MPP 2020) candidate at the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Previously, they worked with International Rescue Committee as a caseworker with refugee, asylee, and immigrant communities, and as a research assistant with University of Virginia's Cancer Research Center managing projects, analyzing population data, and designing mixed methods research studies. Currently, Laura focuses their MPP studies on refugee and immigration policy, and is completing this master’s thesis on community engagement techniques and effective public-private partnerships to support refugees.
